Launching a social change campaign?

The Swedish insurance company, Länsförsäkringar wanted to raise awareness about both climate change and how to reduce natural damage. The first step was to make sure that all employees would share a common view and knowledge around the subject.

The company’s natural damage specialist, Johan Litsmark therefore took the initiative to test micro-learning via Moblrn in three of Länsförsäkringar's regional companies. “To me it was important to find an easy and accessible way to get acquainted with the knowledge. By creating a training program on the mobile, employees could take part in the course when it suits them - on the bus, in the car park or when they felt they had five minutes left“, says Litsmark.

The training program consisted of ten sections within the Moblrn app and the participants received a push notification whever there was a new section to watch. Each section contained text or a video clip, aswell as subsequent questions that the participants would answer. Examples of sections include: defining natural damage, the human impact and the consequences for the county concerned. The response among the employees was predominantly positive.

After a successful pilot test, micro education is now rolling out to all county companies and in the summer, 5,000 of Länsförsäkringar's 6000 employees are estimated to have completed the training.
